About Michael

Michael Lefenfeld is President and CEO of Hexion, where since 2023 he has led the transformation of the 170-year-old materials company into a technology-enabled, AI-driven solutions provider. A scientist and serial entrepreneur, he holds more than 100 patents in sustainable materials and clean technologies. He previously served as CEO of Cyanco International and SiGNa Chemistry. Lefenfeld holds graduate degrees in chemistry from Columbia University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
